Longwood is located in Kennett Square, PA which turned out to be about a four and a half hour drive from my house. It was well worth the trip.
The main attractions at Longwood are the fountain gardens and water features. This picture was taken at the main fountain garden. My camera lens wasn't wide enough to capture the whole thing.
This is the fountain garden show at the outdoor theatre garden. Each water garden has a five minute display show every two hours. On the day of our visit, the Italian water garden was closed for repairs, but we caught the other two shows.
This area of the garden is called the Flower Garden walk. We were there in mid May which was a bit early for what appeared to be a display of annuals.
I took this shot in the "idea"garden area which was one of my favorite areas. The shade plant combination caught my eye since I've been working on similiar planting combinations in my own garden.
